Rex is a filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area. He's a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the AFI Conservatory, where he studied Cinema & Media Studies and Producing, respectively.

His short film Furthest From (2020) has been featured in more than sixty film festivals, including 10 Oscar-qualifying ones: the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (FIAPF Accredited), LA Shorts International Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival, and the Holly Shorts Film Festival among others. He also produced the hit Noah Cyrus music video “Lonely,” which currently has more than 10 million views on YouTube. 

Rex is attracted to stories that feature complex and often messy characters coming into their own. He is currently developing several narrative projects, including his first feature.
